2019 Annual Banquet
2020 & 2021 Annual Banquets and Awards Cancelled Due to National Pandemic
Our 2020 event, which was set to celebrate the 50th year since our founding, was cancelled due to gathering restrictions associated with COVID-19. The Board of Directors recently decided to also cancel the 2021 event due to continued pandemic concerns. We hope to continue this long running tradition in June, 2022.
Anaheim Beautiful’s holds its annual banquet on the first Wednesday in June. As tradition dictates, this event is a time to recognize individuals, businesses and organizations who have contributed in a special way as we work toward our mission of preserving the beauty of Anaheim.
In 2019 the theme was INTERNATIONALFEST in celebration of the diverse cultures that make up our community. The following individuals and organizations were recognized:
- Unsung Hero Award: Mike Lozeau, Anaheim Police Sargeant
- Sally White Award: Marge Herman, Community Volunteer
- President’s Award: Anaheim Salvation Army
- Garden Beautiful Award: Anaheim Boys and Girls Club
- Institutional Property Award: Anaheim Fire and Rescue, Station #5
- Multi-Family Residential Property Award: Alexan CTR City
- Single-Family Residential Property Award: Kristi and Chris Maya, 331 S. Ohio Street
- Thelma Jordan Scholarship Winner: Thuan La and An Nguyen
