On Saturday, April 2, the Lem family came together at Juarez Park to plant two Gingko Bilboa trees in honor of their parents Paul and Ellen Lem. The family lives close to the park and their Mom and Dad spent a lot of time enjoying the library and strolling around the park. This was a special planting being held on what would have been the 102 birthday of Paul Lem. His wife Ellen, had passed away last year at the age of 94. Another special factor was the representation of four generations of Anaheim Beautiful. The Tree Memorial program is named in honor of Margie Hilgenfeld Field, who founded the program. Margie passed in 2015, but Margie’s daughter Becky, Treasurer of Anaheim Beautiful, granddaughter Brittney and great-granddaughter Briley were present at the planting. Rose petals were spread at the base of both trees adding a additional splash of color and love.
