The AIPP Campus Beautiful Award was presented to Loara High School’s art students for the completion of an exhibit featuring 1000 aluminum butterflies. The campus address is 1765 W. Cerritos Ave.

The project was completed by Loara art teacher David Sporn’s drawing and painting students during the 2019/2020 school year. They cut out 1000 aluminum butterflies and hand painted each one with a unique design. The butterflies were then mounted to the fence of Loara High School along Euclid Ave. The prep work took about four months. The installation and completion of the butterflies installation took place on Feb. 21, 2020. The sign next to the Installation reads “Until you spread your winds, you’ll have no idea how far you can fly.”
