Thelma Jordan was the first president of Anaheim Beautiful. Her wish to was to encourage individuals to enter into a career in the field of environmental studies or related areas. Anaheim Beautiful award one scholarship each year, this year, we awarded two.

Thuan La, was able to attend the banquet to receive her award. She graduated from Western High School and will be attending Cornell University, one of eight Ivy League universities. She is enrolled in the College of Architecture, Art and Planning – a prestigious five year program. Her plans are to return home to Anaheim to renovate her home and others in her neighborhood surrounding Western High.

Ann Nguyen was not able to attend the banquet to receive her award. Ann also attended Western High School and graduated in 2019. She is headed to the University of California, Berkeley this fall. Majoring in business, Ann plans to minor in Environmental Economics and Policy. Her ultimate future goal is to develop a non-profit organization to donate sustainable essentials to homeless and low income families.
