Margie Hilgenfeld Tree Memorial Program
One of Anaheim Beautiful’s most important programs is the Margie Hilgenfeld Tree Memorial program which offers the opportunity to plant a tree in memory of a loved one. In partnership with the City of Anaheim, the 24-inch box trees are planted in a park selected by the Community Services Department where they are installed and maintained. Family and friends may attend the tree planting and will be provided with a certificate commemorating the planting.
Miss Anaheim Beautiful Scholarship Program
The Miss Anaheim Beautiful Scholarship Program develops our next generation of community leaders through personal growth, leadership skills and scholastic ideals. Each year the young ladies on the court will develop leadership skills through community service and volunteer opportunities as well as receive an educational scholarship. The court represents Anaheim Beautiful, works alongside various organizations, and continues to make a difference in our community.
Holiday Lights & Home Decorating Contests
Our holiday lights contest has grown by leaps and bounds and we are happy to add additional home decorating contests throughout the year!
Community Pride Programs
We encourage our community to help us find the hidden treasures around our city from east to west in Anaheim. Each quarter, Anaheim Beautiful calls out for nominations for residential and commercial property awards, as well as garden or campus beautiful awards.
We are also the proud stewards of Art in Public places, established by the for Anaheim Arts Council which has recognized well over 200 art installations over more than half a century.
Thelma Jordan Scholarship Program
Thelma Jordan was the founder of Anaheim Beautiful and this scholarship was established in her name to encourage young people to pursue careers in the protection and beautification of our cities.
