Campus Beautiful is a successful partnership with the Anaheim Union High School district, with projects designed to enhance school environments and encourage youth to appreciate the importance of environmentalism. Volunteers from various youth organizations donate their time working with donations, such as plants and other hardscape materials, to improve the landscaping on high school campuses. In January, 2017, Anaheim Beautiful donated $5,000 to support landscaping and water saving projects at Katella High School. This outdoor drought-tolerant renovation was part of a statewide effort known as DROPS (Drought Response Outreach Program for Schools). The overall project cost $11.4 million with $2 million added from the DROPS grant. The project, in addition to the new landscaping, replaced cracked and worn asphalt, added new shades and lighting as well as several other additions to the property to benefit the staff and students. Anaheim Beautiful was proud to be a part of this project.
